3rd Place...

So I finished in 3rd place in the Showdown at 5 Mile Pass. I had 2nd place for more than the first half of the race, but started to cramp up on the last few miles, and got caught and passed. It was fun to duke it out with someone for second place. I would catch him on the uphills, and he would pass me on the downhills. The guy in first beat me by 4 minutes, so I have some serious training to do if I want to win a race. As for season points, I think I am doing OK. The guy that won this race took 7th in St. George, and I think I beat the guy that was fighting it out with me too. It will be interesting to see where I stand when the season points come out. The next race is in two weeks, so I will need to work harder than ever to be competitive...I did have a blast!!!
