Aparently it only snows after I wash my car

So my wifes car was looking pretty dirty and I thought I would be nice and get it washed. So I filled up with gas and bought a car wash. Not 10 minutes later it is snowing. How is it I can leave the car dirty for weeks because the weatherpeople predict snow, but when I finally wash it they finally get it right?
