$5.00 a gallon for gas?

So I read an intersting article about gas prices possibly topping more than $5.00 a gallon by 2006. I hope he is wrong, but I will laugh my ass off at all the idiots with thier gas guzzling SUVs and trucks that drive themselves to and from work every day. I'm not against owning a truck or SUV as long as you use it for its intended purpose. I own a truck, and I use it to tow a boat and for going to the dump or to Home Depot for wood etc. Otherwise I ride my motorcycle year round and get between 30-40 miles per gollon. Right now it costs about me 10 dollars to fill my tank, and that lasts about a week. I know people that spend 4-5 times that, and at 5 bucks a gallon it will cost me $130 to fill up my truck with gas (two 15 gallon tanks). If gas hits $5.00 a gallon you bet your a$$ I will be riding my bicycle to and from work instead of my motorcycle and save myself $100 bucks a month. How you liking that Escalade and H2 now? Sell them now while you can, because by mid 2006 you might not be able to. I don't forsee anything in the near future fixing this problem, but I hope I am wrong. Guess if I start seeing a bunch of rednecks buyng scooters in 2006 I will know if I am right or wrong.

Senator Chris Buttars - The closed minded moron

So on the way to work this morning I listened to what possibly is the most closed minded idiotic senator of all time...Senate bio for Chris Buttars "The Mormon MORON"

I won't go into too much detail, but this guy needs to be removed from office. He had the audacity to say, "There is no proof of evolution". On the other end of the phone was a very level headed scientist that offered evidence and proof, and this guy wouldn’t listen. He wouldn’t and couldn’t answer the hard questions and continually sidestepped the facts. Oh yes sir, you are a moron. 40 years ago the prophet said evolution is 100% wrong, so evolution is wrong. This is closed minded thinking at its best, and he is one of the reasons that there is so much animosity towards the LDS church from non-members. Not all Mormons are that closed minded, and having him as a representative of the church is hurtful. Chris didn’t need any help, but the scientist and host certainly helped Chris make a moron out of himself. The scientist even went so far as to explain how there are many religious scientists that believe in creationism and evolution, and that there is a place to believe in both if you chose. That is the key word – choice. When I went to school we were taught many different theories and ideologies on the matter, and I was left to chose what I believe. Why do we need a law to force something that is already being taught?

We don’t need any more new laws, and we certainly don’t need to waste my tax dollars to force teachers to teach creationism in school. That is something that can much better be taught at home or at church, where it belongs. To top it off laws of this nature have already been proven unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.

Chris, please go away.

2nd place overall...

So the Intermountain cup series is finally over! What a great time I have had racing this year. First off I need to thank Bob for gettimg me motivated and lighting the flame. Without you I would have never imagined that I could do this well. Thank you Bob. Going into this I had set a goal to lose some weight and be competitive finishing in the top 5. I did both. I nearly won the series, and it all boiled down to the last race. Chris and Bryce really made this for a fun and exciting season. Bryce deserved to win the season championship - he was definately the fastest guy in our group. My respect goes out to him for the effort he put into winning the series. Nothing about racing is easy, and this is probably the hardest thing that I have ever done (on a personal level). The level of commitment was much higher than I thought it would be, and I learned more than I thought. I will always remember the friendships I have made and the good times... Thanks for the memories! Now it is time to start training and planning for next year. Is a top 10 finish in the Sport 30-39 class a possibility? First I need to get the weight below 200...
