End of an era...well not so much as an era but it is the end of something!

It seems just like yesterday that I rode my brand new 2001 Honda CBR600F4i home and surprised my wife. Today will be the last time I really will work on my bike for it will soon by Geeeoof's bike. It seems surreal for some reason. She has been a great bike that has hardly given me an ounce of problems. In the next few weeks I will be purchasing a new motorbike, which one still remains to be seen. I had pretty much settled on a 2007 KTM SuperDuke 990, but a trip to Accolade Motorsports put that into doubt. After sitting on one of my dream bikes and talking to the owner Jamie about a few others I don't know that the KTM is what I want. The beauty is that in a week or so when the KTM shows up he is going to let me take the KTM's, the MV Agusta, Triumph, and the BMW for a ride so I can decide which one I really want. How could I pass on an offer like that? When I first got home I was sure I wanted to buy the MV Agusta, it is so beautiful. The more one looks at it the more you see the little details that many other motorcycle skip over. Jamie assured me that the MV would be reliable. MV is the Ferrari of motorcycles, and one doesn't associate Ferrari with reliability. I also have read that it doesn't get great fuel economy, and it was a little on the cramped side for my frame. The KTM is an unknown since I have never ridden or even sat on one, again, I would like to know what the fuel economy is before I buy. The BMW is comfy, and certainly the right size, but she is a little portly and so ugly you either love it or hate it. I really like it. Part of me wants to just go get it now and be done, but why would I pass up an opportunity to be the first person in SLC to ride the KTM as well as the other great steeds? It would be down right stupid of me....

So not only am I replacing my motorbike, I am also replacing my pedal bike. I have everything I need to build my ride except the wheels. They are being hand built at Stans No Tubes. I am way excited to give my new ride a spin and and see if she will be everything I hope. Mostly I just hope that it is faster.
