R.I.P. Brett

I recieved a phone call today (yes, I am still in Denver) from my friend Shane. He told me something that came as a total shock, his brother-in-law and my friend Brett died yesterday after he crashed in a ski race. I don't know all of the specifics just yet, but from what I understand his body was frozen (19 degrees) when they found him last night. Brett was an all around good guy and he will be missed. I feel sorrow for his wife and kids, but at least he got to go doing something he loved. I think I would rather die doing somthing I enjoy than of old age...

Off to Denver with you!

On Friday I was informed that I would be traveling to Denver Colorado on Monday to go help a customer having some problems with one of our systems. I am not against traveling for work, in fact I usually quite enjoy myself, but this time is different. I am going alone which in itself sucks. I guess it could be worse, I could be going with someone I don't like (not that I work with anyone like that). The worst part of traveling alone is eating alone. Not much I can really do about it but hope that things go well and I can get things in good running order. I think the part I dislike about the timing of this trip is that all my new 29" bike parts will show up while I am gone.
